Meet Our Minister

Greetings in the name of our Lord! What a blessing it is to serve this church in this community. My name is Barry Loving. I have been here since July of 1997. I served as the Associate Minister of Youth and Christian Education for 2 years and then accepted the call as Senior Minister in September of 1999. My wife, Mary, and I have been blessed with three wonderful children. God has truly blessed our family by placing us in Pampa, Tx.
There is a slogan in our church library that says, "There is a sweet, sweet spirit in this place." How true this is with our church family. Each person is genuinely seeking to deepen their own spiritual walk and allow God to work in their lives. It feels like one great big family who loves one another, and enjoys being around one another. When one hurts, we all hurt, and when one rejoices, we all rejoice! We have programs for all people. Beginning with a vibrant youth program for ages 3 - 18, a wonderful men's ministry program, a strong women's fellowship, and many ministries of outreach that gladly welcome those who want to serve. Our education program is very diversified. We try to meet the needs of our people and use various teaching techniques and classes to achieve this.
Let me be the first to offer an invitation to come and be a part of this Christian community. We at First Christian Church embrace the Great Commission established by our Lord Jesus Christ. We allow God to work through us. Come be a part of a very loving church seeking God's will on this earth.
